Preserved documents, equipment and fire engines from the second half of the 19th century and the first half of the 20th relating to the Unit in Valchiavenna all form part of the impressive exhibition.
From ancient manually-operated pumps to vehicles in service until the 1970’s;
A genuine rarity and a real gem is the artisan-produced fire engine on the chassis of a Fiat Brevetti light truck from 1908, the oldest fire fighting vehicle existing in Italy.
